Census Organizer

Mixteca is seeking exceptionally qualified candidates for the role of Census Organizer. In collaboration with NYC Census 2020 and Mixteca’s Community Organizer/Census Manager, Census Organizers will: educate community members about the significance of the census and the importance of census self-response; identify and dismantle barriers to census participation; ask and encourage New Yorkers to self-respond to the 2020 census; and connect them to the tools and resources they need to self-respond.

Health Outreach Worker

Mixteca seeks dynamic, self-motivated candidates for the role of Health Outreach Worker to work closely with our Community Health Coordinator. Health Outreach Workers will conduct community-based engagement, outreach, liaison for NYC Care’s healthcare access program, and provide general support to Mixteca’s health programming for Brooklyn’s Spanish-speaking immigrant families.
