HIV Counseling and Testing

Committed to empowering and supporting our immigrant community, Mixteca works with the AID FOR AIDS (AFA) organization to provide weekly confidential and rapid HIV testing. We offer private testing at our on-site clinic and during community action events. Clients who test preliminary HIV positive are referred to culturally sensitive HIV treatment providers for confirmatory testing and care.

We are currently offering Free and Confidential HIV tests on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 10 am to 2 pm by appointment only.

Interested in obtaining a test? Please contact AID FOR AIDS’ Case Manager:

Health Insurance Enrollment

Each week, Mixteca hosts the Hispanic Federation, the nation’s premier Latino nonprofit organization whose mission is to support and strengthen Latino institutions and Hispanic families. With their support, we offer in-person assistance to enroll for health insurance at free or to little cost each Wednesday from 2 pm to 5 pm.

We understand the difficulties of enrolling in a health insurance plan and are committed in providing you with the outmost assistance. If you need help with understanding the ins-and-outs of our health care system, please feel free to reach out to us or to the Hispanic Federation.
