Mixteca-CUNY college Now! Program
The Mixteca-College Now! Program, offered in collaboration with the City University of New York (CUNY). is designed to promote access to institutions of higher learning, help middle school and high school students explore their professional interests, and introduce them to the reality of college. Mixteca Organization, Inc stands proud as the first organization in the City of New York to collaborate with CUNY in offering and adapting this initiative to a community-based environment.
- Saturdays from 10:00AM-1:00PM.
- Spring, Summer, and Fall enrollment. (See calendar for dates).
After-School Tutoring
Mixteca Organization, Inc offers after-school tutoring for middle and high school students. This is an important service to parents that lack the English skills and education to assist their children with assignments and general schoolwork. Schools require students as young as elementary school to complete assignments on the computer and the Internet. Since many immigrant families can’t afford these luxuries Mixteca Organization, Inc offers a supported environment in which to study, do homework and work on long-term projects. The tutors are also positive older role models for local youth.
- Tuesdays through Fridays from 4:30 – 6:30 P.M. (See calendar for dates)
- Walk-in
Mexican History Classes for Families
