TODAY’S REALITY
RESISTING IN COMMUNITY
In recent times, our immigrant communities have been under attack. We see every day what this fear does to families: parents afraid to go to work, children terrified of losing a loved one, entire communities pushed further into the shadows.
But we also see something else, our collective resilience. Thanks to our donors, funders, and partners, Mixteca continues to provide legal guidance, individual and collective mental health spaces, educational opportunities, and access to health checks, fairs, and programs.
“Mixteca's commitment to fighting for and supporting immigrant families has only deepened. Our team continues to work tirelessly to help families navigate extreme need, and to remind every person who walks through our doors that they belong here.”
— Lorena Kourousias, Executive Director
